More Prayers from Sparrowgirls

Lord, I adore you. I thank you for your goodness. You are full of mercy and love. You want us to be one as you are one. Lord, I wish that all could adore you and know you. You are our Father, always looking after us, always loving and forgiving us. I adore the attention that you lavish on us. I adore the wonderful things of the earth that you gave us. You alone Lord must be the center of my life. I adore all people because I see you in them. They are all your children. Lord, let me love all people with a clean heart. Amen.

Our heavenly Father... we love and honor You tonight. You are so good and so great. You are greater than any problem we face as a country or as individuals. We praise you for your faithfulness to us, to our country. The prayer just prayed reminded me of the beauty of your creation. Thank you for giving us reminders all around us of your greatness. We need those reminders, Lord, because we are truly dust. How easily we get caught up in the things of the world sometimes, and having those reminders helps us to refocus. Your word says you inhabit the praise of your people. We know you are here with us. In Jesus' name, men.

Be still...and know that I am GodLord I have to confess to you. I am filled with sin and anger. There is sometimes nothing whole in me. I get caught up with the things of this world and forget you. Sometimes I fall prey to despair. Lord give me your strength! You are in charge of all. I am in charge of nothing. Lord I confess that I rely upon myself too often and on you, not nearly enough. Lord, that I might see. Amen.

Dear Lord, our country has strayed so far from where we should be. Forgive us, Lord, for putting things before God. And I helped by standing by. For allowing evil influences to change things in our country in a direction we know is not pleasing to You. Let us become ONE nation UNDER GOD INDIVISIBLE again. Forgive me, personally, for my sinful heart. For thoughts, words, and actions that are not of you, for letting flesh rule sometimes instead of the Spirit within me! Lord, your heart is breaking over the murder taking place of innocent babies. Please give us wisdom and strength to stand against this! May WE speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. Forgive us for allowing our country to get to this point. We must stay involved in the political process as much as we can. Please, Lord, forgive America and turn her once again towards You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Lord, we thank you for giving us Leaders after your own heartI thank you Lord for I can see the glorious victory that you are preparing for us. You were so good to us to give us President Bush at a crucial time. Now you are going to give us John and Sarah. They are not as smooth as their opponent. But their hearts are pure and burn with love for you and for our country. Thank you Lord for stout hearted people of passion who want to do the best for our country. They even give their lives. They give up their liberties for this great promise of America. The Land that you blessed and set apart from the whole world. Lord protect this plantYou will, I know this. Thank you Lord and give us Holy Trust. You are the master of the Universe. Thank you Lord for Holy Confidence. I pray that our voters make a plan and carry out that plan successfully to actually go to the polls and vote. Though an army encamp against us, you are our rock and our shied. Our Sheild. You are our strength. We will bring our country back to you Lord. We will be your Army. Thank you for the good men and women of America. In our hearts we know what is good and true. Turn back those hearts Lord on Tuesday to do what is right. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Yes...Bring your Holy Spirit to those who are unsure. Let your Spirit be among voters as they vote. We beg of you! Thank you, Lord, for giving us Your Spirit. Thank you for giving us Your Word. Thank you for the precious gift of salvation and the spiritual freedom we have in You. We treasure our political freedom, but SO much moreso our spiritual freedom. That we do not have to live under the guilt of sin ever again! Hallelujah, Lord Jesus! As the song. It Is Well says... my sin is NAILED TO THE CROSS and I bear it NO MORE! Thank you for the blood of Jesus, Lord. Thank you, Jesus, for going to the cross. Thank you for your precious church of believers who can come together now and stand united FOR YOU. PLEASE, Lord, we ask your Spirit to be all across our land on Tuesday IN the voting booth with those who are not sure or who are soul searching.Guide their hands, Lord. In Jesus' name and for HIS sake, Amen.

Lord, on our knees, with hearts full of sorrow and hope we pray thee. Save our great nation. Lord turn us back to the right path. Lord, that we may be your people again. That we may know your heart. That our hearts may become like yours. I ask you Lord, that in this great election, your people will come to know the truth. They will vote according to the morals that they know from You alone. That their hearts will not be angry hearts, but will be open hearts. Lord, we know that only one team can lead this nation. It is the team that honors you. It honors your commandments. On our knees Lord, we beg thee...

Guide the hearts of the American people to the right path on Tuesday. Lord that they might recognize your Holy Will and vote for John and Sarah. And that in the coming years after their election may they be inspired by their witness to you to be the people that you desire all people to become. To be a light unto the nations. A people who puts you first. You told me many years ago Lord, that if I put you first, that you would put me first. Lord you are always faithful to your Word and your Promises. You will show the nations how you bless a faithful people. Lord, I trust that this will be done. This is a hope that has never been spoken. Always in the history of man, there is an ending doom. But Lord, it could be different. We could become humans fashioned from your heart. This Lord is our humble prayer. We ask this through the blood of Jesus, crucified for our sins. We nail this prayer to the cross. At Jesus feet we nail it. Amen.

Oh, God, our hearts are so heavy over this election. We know that SO much is at stake for the future of America, the future of the Christian foundation upon which our nation was built. Please, God, do not let the blood that has been shed for this be in vain! We sense a great struggle, Lord, all across the country. And we know, as your word says, that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Tonight, we battle in the Spirit, with the Spirit, against these forces, Lord. Thank you for the confidence we can have when we come before Your throne, Lord. It is Jesus who makes this possible. Lord, we do get angry when we see the Bible mocked by Obama. We ask you to frustrate his plans, Lord! In these final days, let the one who we see has honored you for so much of his life continue the momentum he is gaining! Thank you, Lord, for what you are doing in our country. I know of one who is searching spiritually through all of this Lord. Please bring her into a right relationship with You! Please use this election to glorify Your name once again Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Dear Lord, We have been so stressed. It seems that those "in charge" tell us that what is wrong is right. It seems inevitable that our country and future is doomed. Our positions are twisted and we feel frustrated. How much like an Old Testament story this sounds and feels! But we know you will intervene. You will rescue your people who stand up for You, the righteous. You will overcome the wicked and make things right. And, even if this is the end of the world...let us be strong because it is Your will. It is no mistaking anything. Thank you for giving us the insight...the faith...the friends...Your love...we would rather be suffering for You than winning with them. Amen.

"Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people... of the characters and conduct of their rulers." ~John Adams
